
Are you a smoothie person? If not, we need to get you on board the smoothie train! They are one of my go-to’s and are a staple in my diet. I either have one for breakfast or as an afternoon snack. The great part is that the ingredient options are pretty versatile, with the obvious goal of adding in as many nutrient dense ingredients as possible, duh! And in my opinion, they are one of the easiest ways to get in a ton of nutrients, but you want to be sure that you are loading them up with the right ingredients.
This Chocolate Protein Almond Butter Smoothie is one of my FAVES! It’s packed with fiber, protein, antioxidants, healthy fats and more, which are important when building a nutritious smoothie, that isn’t loaded with unnecessary sugar.
The ingredients you will need to make this yummy protein smoothie are the following:
- homemade cashew milk (or unsweetened non-dairy milk of choice)
- truvani chocolate plant protein (optional) can sub 1 tbsp cacao powder
- organic spinach or leafy greens of choice
- ground flax
- raw almond butter
- frozen organic blueberries
- 1/2 frozen or non frozen banana (optional)
- cinnamon

Ingredients:
- 8-10 oz homemade cashew milk (or unsweetened non-dairy milk of choice)
- 1 scoop truvani chocolate plant protein (optional) can sub 1 tbsp cacao powder
- A handful (about 1 cup) organic spinach or leafy greens of choice
- 1 tbsp ground flax
- 1 tbsp raw almond butter
- 1/2 cup frozen organic blueberries
- 1/2 frozen or non frozen banana (optional)
- Dash of cinnamon
Instructions:
- Place all ingredients (liquid first) into a high speed blender
- Blend until thick and creamy *Add ice if too thin
