One of my favorite things about Fall is all of the seasonal food that you get to eat…(give me all the spiced apples and pumpkin recipes you can conjure up)! With that, one of my favorite Fall inspired desserts has to be apple pie a la mode, but who really has the time to whip this up when you are are craving it. It certainly requires time and effort, which is the exact reason these Baked Cinnamon Apples came to life! I was in the mood for something warm but didn’t want to commit to the process of making a homemade pie, and voila! They remind me so much of warm apple pie, it’s not even funny, except these are a truly guilt-free version and even better, they only require FOUR simple ingredients to make them!

This recipe makes my little heart so happy because if you know me by now, you’ll know that I LOVE sweets but I also LOVE eating healthy. This dessert checks off both of the boxes, while also offering your body with some added nutrients. The star player of this recipe are apples, which are high in fiber, vitamins and minerals. Next you have walnuts, which are a great source of healthy fats, protein and fiber; raw honey, which is anti-viral and anti-fungal, loaded with vitamins and minerals; cinnamon, which is most commonly known for its anti-inflammatory benefits as well as its ability to help stabilize blood sugar levels.

Let’s go a head and take a look at the ingredients you will need to make this recipe:

  • organic gala apples
  • chopped walnuts
  • raw honey
  • cinnamon
  • Coco whip, Greek yogurt, vanilla ice cream *optional*

Be sure to do yourself a favor and top them off with some left over honey drizzle from in the pan and some coco whip, yogurt, or vanilla ice cream and then you can thank me later! 🍁🍂🍎
