Meet the Momma

Hi! I’m Amanda! I am a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach, wife, mom, and lover of all things related to the health and wellness world.

In my early 20’s, I got extremely ill after developing Epstein Barr and then shortly after developing POTS. This ultimately wreaked havoc on my immune system, causing me to be in a constant state of fight or flight, feeling anxious, depressed, dizzy, nauseas, brain fogged, fatigued, and the list goes on and on.

As a result, this let me down a 16 year long health journey towards the path to healing. During this journey, I learned just how important it was to create a healthy lifestyle and to use food as medicine as part of my healing! Did you know that the food you eat can have a profound effect on your brain??? This is because your gut and your brain are in constant communication with each other. Cool stuff, right? 

What you will see in this blog is my love and passion for creating  yummy and healthier alternatives to the foods you know and love.

I want people to know that eating well and maintaining a healthy lifestyle does not have to be boring, bland or even complicated! I assure you that there is always a cleaner and simpler alternative out there! 

My Goal

My goal and desires are to reach as many people as possible through sharing healthy recipes, tips and the cleanest brands on the market to choose from. If you are coming here to find recommendations, please know I’ve done my research and only will share things I 100% stand behind.

Cooking for you and your family doesn’t have to be difficult. I’ve spent the last several years diving into all sorts of recipes for myself, my husband and my now 4 year old. Not only do I focus on using REAL foods, but the recipes are also REAL DELICIOUS, so you can be proud of what you make.
